Programs and services are designed for you, which will benefit your needs the most. Primary modalities used for individual and family therapy or counseling services are Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
Solution Focused Brief Therapy
I believe in getting you to the point where you can independently mange your life and not be in long term therapy year after year.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy sessions typically focus on the present and future, focusing on the past only to the degree necessary for communicating empathy and accurate understanding of the clients concerns. It emphasizes what the client wants to achieve through therapy rather than the client’s problems and failings in the past. Based on the notion that individuals know their situation best and are capable of generating their own solutions, SFBT aims to build on the client’s resources, strengths, and motivation. SFBT has been used with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
MBCT teaches people to pay attention to the present moment, rather than worrying about the past or the future, and to let go of the negative thoughts that can tip them over into depression. It also gives people a greater awareness of their own body, helping them to identify the signs of oncoming depression or anxiety and ward off the episode before it starts.
MBCT can be used in treating everything from anger issues to binge eating because the essential theory is to focus on the present and find the triggers. Evidence from clinical trials across the globe is compelling, and while more trials are needed, the case for mindfulness is growing by the day.

Mindfulness & Acceptance-Based Group Therapy for Social Anxiety Disorder
This is a 12 week group for teens and young adults. The group meets 1 hour per week for 12 weeks, with one follow up session three months post treatment .
Each session will have Mindfulness exercise to help you learn calming techniques, ACT concepts using metaphors and experiential exercises, ACT consistent exposure with Willingness Exercises, and Homework assignments.
12 sessions meet 1 hour per wee for 12 weeks.
$20 per session.

Summer Mindfulness with Kids Group
Give your kids a head start to finding peace in a frantic world. During this 8-week summer program, kids will learn attention, balance and compassion, which will help them be better students and calm human beings.
Children will develop concentration and self-awareness – awareness of thoughts, emotions and physical sensations, other people, places and things.
During each session we begin with activities that develop breath awareness, move to activities that develop sensory awareness, and then to activities that develop awareness of thoughts, emotions and worldview.
This group is only available in the summer.
Each session is 1 hour long and held once per week for 8 weeks.
$20 per session
